Hello everyone, I'm OG and Today we are going to talk about NXT.
As you guys know, NXT is currently rising and starting to get to it's peak, and in the last few months we got to see and will continue to see some new upcoming faces in NXT, such as Keith Lee who's been on a great roll so far and the new signees of NXT who are going to probably have a great succes there, Matt Riddle and Luis "Punishment" Martinez.
So here are few reasons why I believe NXT is the best thing that happening in WWE :
1. The Roster keeps on Recycling
One of the first things we see in NXT is talents getting a call up to the main roster after a while, while they are on their way to Main Roster, NXT for now gives us some new other faces who are on their way to success. And that thing keeps NXT refreshing and relevant for that great period of time. As long as time takes by, NXT adding new talents from the American Indies/Japan/UK Indies (as they build their fresh UK brand) and they're showing their great work and their skills.
2. Short Time Ain't Such A Big Deal For Them
NXT's weekly shows broadcasting wednsday nights(and here in Israel it's on thursday's early morning) and these weekly shows are very good in terms of matches, storylines, building talent and the whole production led by Triple H. Although the TV episodes are short (50 minutes of a weekly show airing on the WWE Network) the product is just great. In less than an hour, we're getting absolutely everything a wrestling show needs, 2/3 matches, great segments and storylines involved perfectly. That's a wonderful thing, every successful show need those elements.
3. Storylines.
The NXT Storylines are really good, highly attractive and entertaining. The recent stories especially were epic.
Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Johnny Gargano was the best WWE storyline in years, it had every wrestling fan emotionally involved and both superstars told a rare perfectly made drama about human beings inside the squared circle. And lately we've been exposed to the angle of Aleister Black's mystery attacker (which helped writing him off TV to go through a surgery), we can wonder who the hell can it be ?
Another thing that slowly goes on is the new "shiny toy" Matt Riddle to battle Kassious Ohno, and guys like Ricochet, EC3 Velveteen Dream and the dominant Undisputed Era just continue to be the heart of NXT TV.
As NXT progresses you should expect more great stories.
4. Card Rotation
What mostly impressed me is NXT's card rotations, most of the people get chances. It means..that if you're not a main wrestler in NXT, It's not end of the world because you still have chances to be featured and to improve for the future, your future as a character in WWE, and if you do, you can be a main feature too.
As Triple H himself said in an interview earlier this year , if he can't make any NXT wrestler over with the crowd and write them correctly than he failed at his job.
5. Shock The System
Yes, the Undisputed Era in my eyes are the best faction today. The work ethic they're putting every week is incredible. They bring a lot of content to the table, Since the formation of the faction on Brooklyn last year(with Fish and O'Reilly first seen together as a duo and later that night Adam Cole's shocking WWE debut) they are the main topic of the show. And eventough Bobby Fish was out for 7 months with an injury, they've still managed to be on the top of their game with a great work in ring and out. And the adding of Roderick Strong is the best thing for the faction.
We found out that Strong and O'Reilly have an amazing chemistry together as a tag team and they have been one of the best worldwide tag teams in all of wrestling in 2018 so far, giving us some instant classics.
Mark my words, UE will be on the top of WWE. And they'll shock the system on the main roster too when they'll get the call. But for now, let's enjoy seeing them in NXT.
