Hey everyone I'm OG and this is my BOUND FOR GLORY 2018 review!
Before I start, I want to give big props for Impact on their big changes in the recent year. I hope they'll keep it up, they are in the right direction.
I have an underrated thing to say :
Impact are showing sights of the old TNA days, just in a different way. This creates a special atmosphere to their product in 2018.
1st match: Matt Sydal&Ethan Page Versus Rich Swann and Willie Mack.
That was a very fun match, great way to start off the event. Rich Swann keep on improving since he left the WWE. He looked awesome. Willie Mack showed to me why he is my favorite Big man today.
Matt Sydal and Ethan Page had a very cool in ring chemistry. And they should stay as a tag.
Now the ending of the match was very cool, as Rich Swann Hit a beautiful Phoenix Splash.
Another note, Willie Mack is Impact's future. In my opinion he is on a great start on Impact.
Overall Rating : 65 out of 100.

Backstage Segment : Konnan got attacked. And the LAX finds him hurt.
2nd Match : Eli Drake's New York Open Challenge.
Eli opens the segment with a pretty good promo. Showing his good mic skills. Which was pretty good, as he insults the New York Giants team and talking trash as a bonafied heel.
Then James Ellsworth came! And the fans seemed to dislike him. And eventhough he's not from New York he answered the challenge.
Eli won in a squash type of match, eventhough he got Superkicked once..
Eli won after 2 Gravy trains
After that, Eli said that he want a top guy type of wrestler to wrestle him .. a hall of fame type.
And then immediately.. came ABYSS. the new Hall Of Famer.
Abyss and Eli had a little fight..abyss hit Eli with a Blackhole slam. And then a Chokeslam through a table.
Overall Rating : 40 out of 100.
2 Stars.
But, I was happy to see Abyss.
3rd Match : Taya Valkyrie Vs. Tessa Blanchard, Knockouts Championship.
Enjoyable match , a very solid job by Taya and Tessa who showed a lot of good things. It had great pace, and the crowd was having fun. I hope they'll meet again in the future. If they did that great work in this recent match, I don't see why they won't face again.
Tessa Prevailed after a wonderful Diving Codebreaker.
Tessa Retains the Belt.

Next Segment : Moose with a Pre Match interview before his match against Eddie Edwards.
4th Match : Eddie Edwards Vs. Moose
Side Note before I start to talk about the match, Moose as a Heel is MONEY, it works great.
The start was very shocking as Killer Kross attached Eddie and Chocked him. And After Moose& Kross attacked Eddie in the ring, Tommy Dreamer saved Eddie.
Tommy challenges Moose&Killer Kross and we got a tag team war.
The match was great. All out war and and full of intense, Eddie and Dreamer won after Eddie rolled up Moose.
Post Match, Kross and Moose attacked Edwards with a Powerbomb on the apron.

Next Segment: oVe with a Pre match preview before their match against Lucha Brothers and Brian Cage.
5th Match : oVe Versus Lucha Bros&Brian Cage
Sidenote : Fenix using the ring ropes in a very excellent way, Love it.
A fast paced warfare, a fantastic war with a great in ring work, the oVe/Lucha feud is for me Impact's feud of the year. It's just incredible.
The intensity in this feud is so good.
The match finished after oVe nailed Cage with series of never ending kicks trying to put the machine down and after that Sami Callihan hit him with a Cactus Pilledriver.
oVe won.

Backstage Segments: Austin Aries with a Savage promo before the main event. Very savage promo
And OGz with a backstage segment before the fight against LAX.
6th Match : LAX vs. OGz, DeathMatch
The feud of the year in my opinion, in Impact and out of Impact.
Awesome rivalry. They took it to a new and generated level, I loved it.
Now the match, holy shit.. that was lit. A bloddy and unpredictable match. A very unique deathmatch.
The brutality just got to another level. That was A pure brutal war. Love that in the middle of the last paet of the fight Konnan joined his friends
LAX won after they hit the street sweeper.

A very bizzare segment with Allie and Father Mitchell and Su Yung's brides and Su Yung, as Allie seems like she trying to rescue her friends.
After that : a special announcement, IMPACT RETURNS TO Nashville! To the Asylum!
and after that we had a pre match interview with Johnny Impact.
And..The Main Event : Johnny Impact Versus Austin Aries.
One of impact's most personal feuds in recent memories.. Austin took it to some very personal terms.
The match was pretty good actually, had some cool spots and great moves, heated atmosphere and a rocking split crowd and pure drama.
The ending was great but also controversial..in 2 words.."bitter sweet"
Johnny Impact won after a starship pain, but.. Austin Aries didn't sell the ending and just stormed out of the arena.. maybe a hint to the end of Austin's time in Impact Wrestling or is it a smart worked shoot? We will know that soon I guess

Here is my opinion on Austin Aries's actions , to be honest, I hate it when It comes to real heat, I do respect Austin but that wasn't supposed to happen, the stiff shots in the match may added depth but also generated heat. It's not supposed to happen, and more important he should have sold the Starship pain! When he didn't sold the finisher he gave us and Impact Wrestling and the Wrestling world a middle finger. And I'm sorry to say that but due to those actions Austin lost my respect.
Thoughts on the PPV?
Incredible. I enjoyed every minute of it. But, they could do more. They are in a good direction, but there needs to be more work. I'm sure with Don Callis it's possible.
