Hi everyone, I'm OG and today, I'm going to give you a little closer
look of a wrestling organization here in Israel, the name is AWO. The owner of
the company is "The Arabian Horse" Mahran Abdul Hai, he's also one of
the most recognized faces of the company, throughout the years, former WWE
Superstars such as Chris Masters and Carlito came to wrestle in the company at
the past, at the 29th of this month they going to produce their
upcoming event "Glory" in Netanya, make sure you don't miss the
action!
Today I had the honor to sit down for an interview with one of the
familiar faces of the company, his name is Oscar Vice, he's a young up and
coming wrestler in the AWO and he was at the AWO Academy two years ago with his
good friend Tye Clodd. Oscar will share with us about what we are going to
expect and see in the upcoming event.
I asked Oscar few questions about the organization and about his
personal career. So let's begin the interview!
1st question: as an important part of the company's roster,
can you share with me more about your company? What can I expect from it as a
"new fan" of it?
Answer: AWO is an Israeli wrestling organization in Netanya that has
been running on a monthly basis, but the monthly performances have recently
stopped for greater performances. The organization has several branches in
several countries, so we get to bring wrestlers from aboard that in our opinion
their having a long way and their potential can be big and promising.
2nd Question: How did your relationship with the
AWO started?
Answer:
I don't know if it's known or not, but me and Tyler (Tye Clodd) are really good friends, while we were little kids we would have seen together wrestling and fighting, And at the beginning of 2017, we decided to take the hobby to a more professional place and we joined the AWO Academy, somewhere along the way me and Tyler we split up, and he left the AWO, while I stayed-but my delight, in the upcoming show Tyler appears, I truly hope that I will meet him and wrestle him again! 3rd question: 29th
of this month, we going to see the upcoming event of AWO, the event
"Glory" in Netanya, what shall we expect from the event?
On the 29th, the show ran
"Glory", which would participate in Israeli wrestlers – for example
the current AWO champion, The Blondevil, who had been a wrestler in Israel over
a decade or Hellboy a former IPWA-champion, who has been participating in the
Israeli scene for a long time. Beyond the veterans of the country, there are a
few young and Brewster faces like Gal Barkai who's going to face Jake Mayhem,
and of course two of the best wrestlers from the recent event of IPWA's berale
shows, Yuval Goldshmit and Hadar Horovitz will be there too. along with
the Israeli talent, there's also a good amount of wrestlers from Europe that
comes to Israel to wrestle in our country, for example the AWO Ukraine Women's
champion Amaranta Del Mar who's going to defend her title against Mefisto and
hardcore star Ron Corvus who's going to wrestle in the event as well. You don't
want to miss the action, believe me.
4th question: now this is a personal one, during the last
event of the IPWA here in Israel, you came to the ring with a guitar and wanted
to perform a concert in the middle of the ring, will it be a permeant thing?
Answer: Actually, I've heard a lot of people chanting "Elias",
and I knew it was similar so I tried to keep a little distance in the behavior
or presentation of the content but even when I saw it back it would seem too
similar, because that's why I'm still working on my character and trying to
organize it, I think I'm going to stay on musical field because it's something
I really like to do It would be different from what was in Berale.
Last question: In the upcoming show, there are a number of fighters
who's coming from Europe, does it symbolize some sort of a cooperation between
the AWO and European wrestling organizations? You have the blondevil who's been
a wrestler in Europe and even won a tag title belt there.
Answer: Yes, we have co-operation with many European wrestling organizations,
such as DPW, NSW, and there is much more. AWO attempts to get to as many foreign
wrestlers as you can to bring to the Israeli audience a sight of style they
don't know about and the wrestlers who may have had no ability to see in the
past, and will really be glad they have seen in the future!
