hello everybody I'm OG
and today I'm going to talk about our country's bright talent star, his name is
Yuval Goldshmit, I have met him in the last two events and to be fair, I have
met one of the coolest dudes here in Israeli wrestling, a young kid, who's motivated more than ever.
Yuval is a young high
flyer, who became one of the most beloved professional wrestlers here in
Israel, known for his incredible work rate and his Never Say Die attitude that
defined him, Yuval started his career in 2015, enjoying working his craft while
also finishing school and joining the army. About less than a month ago he
participated in one of the biggest wrestling shows here in Israel. And in the
main event he battled for the IPWA world championship, but
it wasn't enough. because before that match he won two matches in the same
night. The 1st against Rixon, the other was a battle royal for the N1C spot for
the world title, in the title match he faced a former WWE Superstar Matt Sydal
one of the greatest High Flyers in the game, many people who were in the arena
considered this match as one of Yuval's biggest so far. And today I had the
opportunity to talk with him and to ask him some questions about his future in
the world of professional wrestling, when we spoke I can assure you that I have
met one of the coolest dudes ever, a motivated kid that loves his surroundings.
so here is the interview, enjoy!

1. So first question, how did your wrestling story begin?
Answer: I have been watching pro wrestling since kindergarten and it has always been a hot topic my friends and I used to talk about.
The years have passed and up until the 4th grade I haven’t been following everything that happened surrounding the pro wrestling but then I started coming back slowly into it and so did my passion towards wrestling.
Moving a bit forward to the 8th grade, a junior high student, taking part in a theater class which once brought us some sort of battling course- which is how to direct your attack so it seems you are hurting the person you are working with, but without actually hurting him. This is the point where I realized that this is what I want to do.
At the beginning, I used to battle my little brother on our trampoline. Afterwards I decided it wasn’t enough and took the trampoline’s safety net down so I could put ropes around it so we will be able to jump out of the trampoline and have a safe, soft landing on cardboards and pillows we surrounded the trampoline’s area with.
(Now I realize it wasn’t my smartest idea😁). Because I somehow found out I was pretty athletic and able to do some backflips pretty easily I started working especially on high flying moves and putting an emphasis on it while I was training.
The IWL i met by chance when I was looking for a new trampoline because the one I had at home was too small for two people battling. I called them and came for one practice-this is when I realized I have k I nown nothing about wrestling so far. I will be honest, at the beginning it was tough to learn how to fall correctly because it was really painful and wasn’t really fun. But after a couple of weeks and thanks to Lidor Bushari and wrestlers such as Ken Kerbis, Max Havoc, Idan Boulder, Ariel Morhovski and others, I succeeded to catch
everything up.
2. You are now serving at the army, how is it combining the army with the wrestling at the same time? Is there any pressure you are facing?
Answer:
Luckily I manage in combining both of them pretty well, I have an important role in my army life which I can see its contribution directly, I come back every day and mostly manage also putting into my schedule working out at the gym. Yes, I have a lot pressure trying to do everything I plan on doing- such as working out and going out with friends/my girlfriend but so far I think I’m doing a good job managing everything.
3. You had 3 battles at the same night in the last even. You have definitely gave us a phenomenal performance! How did you feel afterwards?
Answer:
I was exhausted, 3 battles at the same night is really not easy. Of course when it includes a rumble and of course when it includes a battle again Sydal- which I haven’t even figured I would be able to make it to it and wasn’t ready for it at any chance. During the rumble I got a clothesline to my jaw- which disabled me for almost the whole rumble, but towards the end I recovered from it and eventually won.
The battle against Sydal was hard and not only physically but also mentally, a well known opponent and a battle on the IPWA world championship are two factors you can’t ignore, especially when I know my friends and family are sitting with the amazing crowd we had that night.
4. at the same event we talked about, you met the former WWE wrestler, Matt Sydal, how was it to meet someone with a resume like Matt’s? What did you learn from this experience?
Answer:
Sydal is an excellent wrestler. He works quickly in the ring and is a tough opponent. As a wrestler who saw and adored him as a child and even reached his level, I can truly say that being with him at the same time in the ring was a dream coming true for me.
As I mentioned in the last question, I wasn’t ready for meeting him and I think you can see it in the battle. Sydal was better.
Something I learned from this battle is mainly the fact that I’ll have to catch up and get prepeared until the next time Sydal will come to Israel.
I think for our next battle I’ll come as ready as ever and I’m going to let everything I have while hoping this time I will be the one holding the championship belt at the end of the battle.
5. What are your aspirations for the future?
Answer:
I plan on flying to the US in December in order to wrestle and learn more about me and this business. I hope that after this tour I’ll be even more prepared for my rematch with Sydal.
I really want to travel the world and wrestle in as many places as I can, and my biggest aspiration is to make a living from wrestling as I hope to fit into a big wrestling organization.
Another goal I have set myself is to help and develop the branch in Israel, whether it is producing wrestling events or training the next generation of wrestlers in Israel. No matter what, my future is definitely going to be wrestling.
And now that we did this incredible interview, I would like to share my personal opinions about Yuval.
I gotta say that he's always been a true professional, I saw him about three times but we got to spoke a lot, he's such a wonderful kid, he's going to make a huge progress in his career, I can promise you this, as someone who honestly now starting to go for more wrestling shows I have to say that I'm truly blessed to see dude like him in the ring and to see guys like him making their presence felt in such young age it's very amazing. I would like to 1st off thank Yuval on this amazing interview, and for showing me the future of Israeli wrestling and of course for being a great human as he's
It was a great pleasure talking to him.
