Hello everyone, I'm OG and today I'm going to talk with you about the
upcoming WrestleMania that's going to happen on April 7th at MetLife
stadium.
So, as you know, we are on the road to WrestleMania 35 and we have a lot
of speculations and plans for what's about to happen. Well I had some great
ideas on my mind and I think It's the right time to share them with you guys.
So, of course I don't have the whole card but I got some main matches
that I thought about, so let's go!
(Before I Start, the article is written day after the Rumble, so yes
I know Rollins-Brock is a lock for Mania, the rest is written day after the Pay
Per View.)
1st match comes to my mind is: Rey Mysterio Vs. Andrade
Cien Almas, Lucha Rules match.
The best thing going on currently on the main roster is that Rey
Mysterio and Andrade are having some great matches between one another, they
have a healthy chemistry between them and it seems that they going to continue
this ongoing rivalry for more, and I think it's the best idea that WWE can go
with. It's seems very legit also, as Andrade hinting on social media that he's
going to be the next successful Latin wrestler in WWE, and it goes in the right
direction so far. WWE finally building Almas as their next star and what he
needs now is a big victory on a big stage and not only on weekly show, also Rey
is the right person to get Almas over, it's also can be the most fitting way to
pass the torch between Mysterio and Almas. I honestly believe that if WWE does
that big step and give Almas the upper hand on Mysterio on WrestleMania 35,
that it can be the best thing for Andrade's career and for Mysterio's career as
he passes the torch on the right time and to the right person. Most of all,
it's the right thing to do for the business.
So, Almas-Mysterio on WrestleMania 35 in a Lucha Libre style match and
with Rey putting over Almas in my opinion it's what has to happen and what WWE
should do.
And On the way to Wrestlemania, for now I think they should be
"separated" or get an equal number of wins between one another so the
'Mania match would be the final encounter.
2nd Match that comes to my mind is: Seth Rollins Vs. Brock
Lesnar, Universal Championship
Well it's the obvious choice, and it seems that WWE is heading towards
this direction since Seth on the Rumble and day after that he got beat up by
Brock, what I think that the WWE needs to do now is keep a little distance
between Seth and Brock and make just a face off promos between them and a one
brawl between them on the last RAW before Mania. It's like what they did with
Roman last year but this time with a different outcome, this time I want to see
a different direction, this time 1st off the match at WrestleMania
will not be a one sided like it was a year ago, this time it'll be different as
they will get into a very equal match. Without a lob sided affairs, In the end
of the match I expect to see an underdog finish as Seth Rollins overcomes
Lesnar in a great match, because 1st off Brock's reign as Universal
champ bores me to death I have to be honest and 2nd of all Seth
needs the belt, he needs to be the champion. It's just seems right to finally
change the plans and give Rollins the belt. Seth as Universal Champ in my opinion can
resurrect the belt as it has a background of a belt that got
"demoted" and lost its prestige since making 1st arrival,
when Seth will be the champ, it'll be the best thing for the business as he
will take the championship belt to a new level, a new and improved level
that'll be better for the ratings too.
3rd match comes to my mind, Mustafa Ali Vs. AJ Styles
This is a new idea I thought about recently, to create a 1-month
storyline between Styles and Ali, as you know Ali and Styles recently began a
bond Since Ali got called up from 205Live to Smackdown, as they teamed up a
month ago. So what I figured out is this idea, AJ's frustration of losing to
Daniel Bryan grows and grows as the time goes by and it leads to AJ snapping in
the upcoming Pay Per View Elimination Chamber as Bryan eliminates him to win,
and then the frustration leads to a heel turn in about days later as he and
Mustafa team up in a tag team bout and end up losing and AJ gets pinned, so
after the loss AJ would eventually turn on Ali and lash out on him and will
start to become a heel, and towards the build up to Mania, Ali is trying to 1st
off figure out why AJ did the turn, AJ then would remain silent and just strike
Ali for weeks but Ali wouldn't strike back because he has respect and
admiration for Styles, but then 2 weeks before WrestleMania, Ali has enough of
AJ's games and he challenges AJ into a match at WrestleMania, AJ would accept
and then he will began explaining why he attacked Ali recently, he would say
that he's sick and tired of Mustafa taking his spotlight and that he's tired of
those "newcomers" coming to take his spot but they won't take his
spot because he built that house! Then he says that he might paved a lot of
ways but there's nobody that's going to get the amount of success that he's got
throughout his career and then he attempts an attack on Mustafa and this time
Ali finally strikes back and eventually hits AJ with the 054 splash! And it
gets a large pop. And then 2 weeks later, WrestleMania 35, AJ Styles Vs.
Mustafa Ali.
I honestly don't know who would I pick to win, but what can I assure you
is that'll be a show stealer and both sides will steal the show.
4th Match comes to my mind is: Finn Balor Vs. Pete Dunne,
United Kingdom Championship!
Pete's historic championship reign as you know reached above 600 days
lately, but in this amazing reign for some reason we didn't saw Pete defend the
belt in a main show (a WWE PPV) and we only seen him defend the belt on NXT/NXT
UK. So I thought that's a fitting way to continue/end the reign is by putting
Dunne in a title defense match on the grandest stage of them all as he would
defend the belt against fellow British Finn Balor, currently WWE isn't doing
much with Balor, so it's a great opportunity to put Finn in a situation where
he'll get into something that's new, Putting him in a UK title match would be
special because it never happened in his career and it'll give him a chance to
do something fresh, something that's also very unthinkable. And that's to
Challenge Pete Dunne. Pete really needs that for the prestige of the belt and
for the importance of his title reign, he needs that big feel of fighting on a
grand stage. And he needs that right person to battle him, that right person is
none other than Finn Balor. The
storyline would be built as day after Elimination Chamber, Finn will open
Monday Night Raw by claiming that he needs something new and he's sick and
tired of same matches week by week and he needs some fresh change now that he's
on the way to WrestleMania, it'll be a very good test for Pete. And I'm sure
it'll pay off.
5th match that comes to my mind is: The Miz Versus Daniel
Bryan, WWE Championship
That match is close to 9 years in the making, those two had some good
matches throughout the years, they have one of the most anticipated feuds in
the last few years, and this time it'll be with a special flavor as the tides
are turned! Daniel is now the ultimate heel, (which's different then usually
when Miz was the ultimate bad guy) and Miz is now on the verge of being a great
babyface, currently Miz is a tag champion along with Shane McMahon but I
believe that it's the right time to put some world titles on Miz's resume, and
this time with a better healthy reign. He's the right person to take the belt
from Bryan. And it'll be good because Bryan's reign so far is very tremendous so
giving him to lose to the right person is just great. It'll be the right
booking way for both superstars, and it can lead to a continuation for their
great feud, and this is how I think WWE should book it if they want it to happen: Elimination Chamber, Miz&Shane loses the
tag belts to the Usos, Bryan retains the belt. Then there will be a friendly breakup of the
tag of The Miz and Shane as Shane says that he's no longer wrestling and he's preferring
to be part of the authority. So.. Miz is winning few weeks later a N1C Match to
face Bryan at WretleMania and they continue their feud with segment and
etc. at Mania, Miz beats Bryan in a
great match.
So that's a wrap folks, those are my ideas for how WWE should book
WrestleMania's main matches! I hope you enjoyed!
