Hey everybody, I'm OG and this is my WRESTLEMANIA Weekend Review, in
this review I'm going to review 2 of the main supershows from WM Weekend, 1st
I'll review NXT Takeover, then WM34 !
Before I start, I gotta say that WrestleMania weekend is always my
favorite weekend (unless my B.Day is on a weekend) and the thing that makes the
WrestleMania weekend so much fun and special for me personally is that you
never know what you'll see, you can see a surprise return/ a great turn or even
a shocking debut! That weekend is one of the best weekends of the year, and
rightfully so. Let's get started.
NXT TakeOver:
1st Match: 6 Men Ladders match, for the North American belt.
The match that starts off the evening was electrifying, we saw the NXT
Debut of Ricochet and EC3, we saw a high paced bout, all of the 6 men gave it
all on the line for the newly belt,
Notes from the match:
1.Ricochet and EC3's NXT in ring debut were both outstanding, they
showed some awesome impact, EC3's work with Adam Cole was superb, and
Ricochet's high paced offense was something unique.
2. Killain Dain's improvement continues, well.. Dain proved me wrong, I
never thought I'll see a guy like him wrestle in a Ladders match and give a
great show, he proved me wrong big time, and I gotta give huge props for him.
3. Velveteen Dream is the real NXT Star for me, here's why, the man is
less than 25 yrs of age! And he establishing himself as a freaking star, he develops
himself so much fast and his career going up like a flying rocket! Wow!i love
it. In the match he was superb, the flying elbow he did was tremendous, there
you go fella!
The match ended with a win by Adam Cole (BayBay) in a great opening
contest,
I give this match: 95 out of 100.
Indeed a Great way to start, the Ladders match is going to be a
memorable match for sure, the next match we got Shayna Baszler vs. Ember Moon
2nd Match: Shayna Baszler Vs. Ember Moon
The match was fine, well, I ain't expected to see an insane match here,
a fine, good, decent match, and it was a fine and decent. Shayna starting to be
a dominant force, and I gotta say the build up was great, Shayna's monster push
Is good, but damn she should work on her ring skills more. I really look
forward to see Ember kicking ass on the main roster
I Give this match: 55 out of 100
After this match we got a the 3 way tag team match, Undisputed Era Vs.
Pete Dunne&Roderick Strong and Authors of Pain.
3rd match. 3 way Tag team
That match was good, well it was built pretty cool and the match was
very good, Adam Cole did an incredible work in both of the matches he featured
in, an incredible double duty, the way the match went was really good, and you
didn't expect the outcome, the ending was shocking AF! As Roderick turned on
Pete Dunne with a huge double cross! As he delivered the end of a heartache on
Pete , which led to a pinfall victory for Undisputed Era and to Roderick
finally joins Undisputed Era, what was very cool is that there were those
speculations on Roderick eventually joins UE, and it happened finally.
I give this match : 67
After that we got the CO Main event, For the NXT Championship, Andrade
Cien Almas taking on the undefeated Aleister Black
4th Match: Aleister Black Vs. Andrade Cien Almas
Aww finally! Finally to talk
about that great match! Well, at a month-2 month build up to this match, we saw
some great things, 1st off we saw how great of a heel Andrade is, 2nd
we saw the quality in Aleister's work in NXT, and last we saw how much flavor
was added by Almas's Manager Zelina Vega, she did an incredible Heel work at
this feud . now the match, as I said it was indeed a great match, we saw great
things, we saw a fantastic heel work by both of Vega and Almas, the way Vega
tried to get inside of Black's head. And the way the match went was very
flowing, Black with a great finish, avoiding Vega's tactic and hitting Almas
with a great Black Mess, and winning the NXT title for the 1st time
in his career.
I give this match: 87 out of 100.
And last match of the card..we got a highly anticipated contest with no
sanctions ! as Johnny Gargano takes on Tommaso Ciampa.
Main Event: NON Sanctioned match, if Ciampa wins Johnny is out, if
Johnny wins he's back to NXT.
That match was one of the best told stories in a long time! I have to
say it, they took it to the absolute edge. The match was really excellent, we
got all. We got fantastic wrestling work, we got a great psychology in the ring
and out, we got crowd's reactions. We got all the tools to make this match
great. The ending was superb. Ciampa tapped out, which means, Welcome Back
Johnny! I hope they fight again, at least one more time!
I give the match: 100 out of 100.
Overall reactions on TakeOVer: well, that was insane show, I love it!
Loved the crowd's reactions, loved the anticipation, everything was working
really great, thank you trips!
Overall NXT Grade: A+ = 95-100 !
After that we got WRESTLE MANIA 34! From the Mercedes-Benz Superdome!
Note: I am not going to rate the Pre-Show matches, I don't like rating
battle royals and pre shows to be honest.
Pre show Results:
Woken Matt won the Men's battle royal, and Bray Wyatt joins him! Well
,for me that was a great moment, it's the only Pre-Show moment I liked to be
honest. Matt and Bray are going to be an absolute delightful team together.
Women's Battle Royal, the trophy looked weird it reminded me something I
cannot say here honestly. The match was fine, but the winner..uh.. okay.
Cruiserweight Title: it's a shame it's on the Pre Show! Give them time
on the show goddamn, the match was good, Cedric won, congrats Cedric!
Now to the show!
Opening match: Seth Rollins Vs. The Miz Vs. Finn Balor for the
Intercontinental championship.
That match was one of my favorite Openers in a long time. It was a great
match, they did a lot in that time, all three of the wrestlers booked good, no
one looked weak, no one buried, it was a great match!
I give it: 86 out of 100.
Then we got the women's championship match of Asuka and Charlotte!
Well for me it was an incredible match to see, Asuka's streak ended in
the best way possible, it was a great contest, both were absolutely delightful
in the ring, the Spanish fly by Charlotte…aww I loved it! The ending was so
exciting. A great story. They built the storyline in a short time and they
delivered big time! Much respect!
I give it: 83 out of 100
After that we got the United States Championship match.
Rusev Vs. Bobby Roode Vs. Jinder Mahal Vs. Randy Orton
God I hope it was a Rusev Day! He doing that gimmick fabulous, anyway,
that match was decent, I didn't expected a lot from it so I wasn't disappointed
either. It was a fine ring work. But.. the ending winner wasn't the winner I
picked, I always wanted it to be a RUSEV DAY. But nevermind, it was an okay
decent match.
I give it: 62 out of 100.
Then we got one of my personally favorite WM Moment. The MIXED TAG
MATCH.
Ronda Rousey&Kurt Angle (Shoutout to my friend Kurt!) Vs. Stephanie
McMahon and Triple H
First off, the build up to this match was very intense very cool. I love
the way the WWE making Ronda look so strong in the ring, it's very cool, the
match was a fantastic story teller, we got all of the things required for a
good match, we got a non wrestler gives us a great show! Stephanie is a non
wrestler! Who thought that she'll work so great in the ring? I mean not has to
be wrestling wise, I mean overall. She worked amazingly. And the veterans
Triple H and Kurt Angle, this two gave an incredible show! Couldn't take my
eyez off this match! And Ronda, what a impactful debut match! Very good ! the
match was as I said, a great story teller.
I give this match: 95 out of 100.
Now after the beautiful mixed tag match we got a 3 way tag team match
for the Smackdown Tag Team titles
Luke Harper&Eric Rowan Vs. The Usos vs. the New Day
That was a short match, not a lot to mention.. the Brothers shquashed
Uso's and New Day in less than 10 minutes, a fine match to establish Harper and
Rowan as a strong team, but why to bury your 2 best tag teams in the division
for god's sake?
I give the match: 53 out of 100
After that weird burial we got John Cena calling out Undertaker again,
this time a mind game played as Elias came after Undertaker's bell tolls, and
then Cena buried his ass out.. aw fuck why was that necessary ?
Then came The Undertaker! And we got a match, Undertaker Vs. Cena.
Well, along with Taker, we got the "Surprise element" as
Undertaker beats Cena in a SQUASH MATCH! Dear god who would believe that John
Cena getting Buried on WM?! Well it was a fine 5 minute contest, but, I'm sure
that's the start of something big, well.. even through it was a 5 minute
burial, the next months will probably continue the feud of Cena – Taker. I hope
so, cause that was a hot start.

After that we got KAMI (Kevin Owens and Sami Zyan ) Vs. Shane McMahon
and Daniel Bryan
Aw it was fantastic! That for me was the moment of the night, watching
my boy D-Bry comes back from retirement and proving that GOAT FACE still have
lot in the tank! The start was epic as KO and Sami took out Bryan for a while,
which means, Shane is alone vs. Kami, well that was so good, all of the
competitors gave it all, then after about 8-9 minutes in the match, Daniel returned,
he got a hot tag and he showed that he still has it, great win for D-Bry and
Shane, that win also gives a question mark on the heads of KO and Sami, what's
next for those 2 ? I love it.
I give it : 79 out of 100.
After that. The Women's championship match. Alexa Vs. Nia.
That was a cool build to what shall be a fun match, Alexa vs. her former
Best friend. In a good solid match, we saw a great improvement in Nia's work,
she can be a great star if that build up continues and we saw the flawless work
of Alexa. That girl is stunning but anyway.. that match was solid great work.
I give it: 62 out of 100.
Then we got, AJ STYLES vs. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA
Before the match, we saw the coolest entrance in a long time, as
Shinsuke enters with a Alice cooper guitarist, man it was crazy! I love it.
The match was fine for a WWE Level, it was good. Could be a lot better
but it's okay, well we saw great chemistry by Naka and AJ, the ending after the
match was absolutely shocking as Shinsuke turned on everybody! With a LOW BLOW
to AJ ! (Ouch) he shocked the world as he continued to attack AJ after the
match, i really think this segment could be much better if them match was more
fast paced but it doesn't mean it was so bad.. well at least we got AJ with one
of his coolest Styles Clash in his career.
I give it : 69 out of 100.
After this match we got one of the weirdest pieces of weirdest crap in
history.. Braun and a mystery partner vs. THE BAR…
Well, Braun chose Nicholas.. a young 10 years old kid to be his partner,
what the fuck WWE? Are you kidding? Pff. The match totally waste of time. The
whole tag team division got buried cause of it. At least Braun won his 1st
title and we got a cool moment with a kid but I think WWE Went too far and too
childish. Sorry guys.
I give it: 20 out of 100.
And then we got the most one sided main event in history. Roman Reigns
Vs. Brock Lesnar.
It took Brock six F Fives to finish it! SIX! And to bury the shit out of
roman, WWE, are you kidding? I mean, you wasted the main event on a squash
match, roman looked so weak, even when he made comeback it wasn't effective at
all. It was a totally shame. I feel sorry for roman, Brock did his job and all
but, Roman got Buried.. and buried big time, what a shame.
I give it: 35 out of 100.
That’s my review for WWE's WM Weekend shows.
Overall I enjoyed both events. Both were so fun! So good! And so entertaining,
for me the recent Takeover is the best in history. And this WM was one of the
most fun events since a long time. Thank you WWE! Even tough I disagree with
some of the booking results, you managed to give me and some more WWE fans
moments of statisfaction!
